Payment is accepted by credit card or wire transfer. Full payment is required in advance of access being granted. Memberships auto-renew unless stated otherwise.
Corporate and/or multi-property packages are available at a reduced rate. Please contact us at info@butlerbenchmarking.com to discuss your requirements.
Each year, Butler Benchmarking suspends all testing activity on the platform for a period of approximately 14 days, beginning on January 2. During this time, we update test content, perform system maintenance, compile the annual Global Butler Benchmarking Report, and prepare the platform for the new testing year. Account Holders will be notified of the exact suspension window no less than 30 days in advance. This period does not extend membership terms.
All platform content, test materials, questions, scoring methodology, reports, and associated materials are the intellectual property of Charles MacPherson Associates Inc. and are protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
Account Holders and Test Takers may not reproduce, distribute, resell, or share any Butler Benchmarking test materials, results, or content outside of their organisation without the express prior written permission of Butler Benchmarking.
Butler Benchmarking will not disclose your hotel or company name, nor any individually identifiable information about your property or team, to any third party without your prior written consent. Aggregated and anonymized benchmarking data may be used in industry reporting without identifying individual properties.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how we collect, use, and retain personal data.
Test Takers must be actively employed by the Account Holder at the time of testing. Butler Benchmarking reserves the right to suspend or terminate access if this condition is not met. Account Holders are responsible for ensuring their team details remain accurate and up to date.
These Conditions of Sale are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
By completing registration and payment, the Account Holder confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Conditions of Sale.
Butler Benchmarking reserves the right to publish an annual Top Ten Hotels list, recognising the ten hotel properties that achieved the highest overall results in the main Butler Benchmarking test during the preceding year. Exact scores will not be published. By accepting these Conditions of Sale, the Account Holder acknowledges and consents to being named on this list should their property qualify.
Account Holders who do not wish to be included in the Top Ten Hotels list must notify Butler Benchmarking in writing at info@butlerbenchmarking.com no later than November 30 of the relevant testing year. Opt-out requests received after this date cannot be guaranteed for that year’s publication.
All test results are permanently associated with the Account Holder’s master account and form part of that hotel’s benchmarking record. No individual test result, score, or data point may be deleted, removed, or excluded from the Account Holder’s master record for the purpose of adjusting or improving the hotel’s overall rating or standing.
If a Test Taker requests deletion of their personal data in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, Butler Benchmarking will anonymise the individual’s identifying information while retaining the associated score data as part of the hotel’s aggregate results. This ensures compliance with individual privacy rights without compromising the integrity of the benchmarking record.
Butler Benchmarking reserves the right to investigate and, where appropriate, suspend or terminate the membership of any Account Holder found to have attempted to manipulate their benchmarking results.
